During the Hill Dickinson Stadium visit, both 44, Kate wore small gold “Issy Star” earrings given to her by coach Sarah Renton, who lost her daughter Issy Phipps to suicide. The earrings, created by Issy’s cousin, raise funds for Brave Mind U.K., with $5 from each pair donated to the charity.

Championing mental health in sport

William wrote the foreword to On Your Side: A Suicide Prevention Toolkit for People in Sport and spoke at the launch, noting that “suicide remains one of the greatest challenges facing our society.” The couple also took part in youth forums and workshops focused on spotting warning signs and supporting young people.
