Charity and tradition

The tea party was hosted for families supported by Dreams and Wishes, a volunteer-run charity launched in 2011 that has granted more than 2,000 wishes by arranging parties and special days out. Queen Camilla thanked CEO Tony Curtis for a bottle of Welsh gin she called “my husband’s favorite” and has hosted similar events before, including a 2013 tea in Wales.

Support beyond the party

Prizes were presented by the Grenadier Guards after the themed quest, with each child receiving a goodie bag and a large chocolate coin. Camilla also serves as patron of other children’s organizations, continuing her ongoing support for seriously ill youngsters.
